Scope of Work / Work Description
Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, trucking, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the installation of approximately 2,325 square feet of 3-inch compacted Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay over the existing asphalt surface within the approximate dimensions of 95′ x 25′.
Work shall include surface preparation and cleaning of existing pavement, application of tack coat to promote proper adhesion between surfaces, placement and grading of hot mix asphalt to establish a uniform finish and proper water drainage, and mechanical compaction utilizing appropriate rolling equipment to meet industry standards for density and finish.
All work areas shall be left clean upon completion, including removal and disposal of excess materials and job-related debris. Work to be completed in a professional and workmanlike manner in accordance with standard asphalt paving practices.
Disclaimers / Conditions
Due to the nature of asphalt overlay work being installed over an existing surface, minor roller marks,surface imperfections, and visible seam lines may occur and shall be considered normal and acceptable. * Existing pavement deficiencies, including but not limited to cracks, settling, movernent, potholes, low areas, or base failures beneath the existing sufface, may reflect through the new overlay over time. Contractor is not responsible for future reflective cracking or movement caused by existing subgrade or pavement conditions.
Asphalt installed adjacent to grass, dirt, or uncontained edges may experience slight edge raveling,separation, vegetation intrusion, or edge deterioration over time due to lack of concrete curbing or edge restraint.
Contractor is not responsible for damage caused by excessive vehicle weight, fuel or oil spills, tirescuffing. acts of naturet drainage issues, or improper use after installation.
Customer shall keep ali traffic off newly paved surface until recommended curing time has passed.
Minor scuffing or markings during initial curing period are normal.
Final asphalt appearance and color variations are normal during curing and weathering
